Devin Pirata
Devin Pirata is a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Jared Weiner and Kyle Watson representing the Tac Team Association. Devin (aka Pirate) is the owner and head instructor of Pirata Jiu Jitsu and has over 17 years of training and teaching experience in the martial, at the same time staying active competing Nationally/ Internationally in the sport of Jiu Jitsu. Known for his intense and intentional style of teaching and training, Devin is one of the most sought out instructors in the KC Metro area for group and competition classes as well as private classes. As a competitor, Devin has won and placed in some of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu’s most prestigious tournaments, but more importantly has helped lead many competitors to win and place at the highest levels of the sport. Brooke Honeycutt Littlewood
Brooke is black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Devin Pirata and David Vava Littlewood and is the Co-head and fundamentals instructor at Pirata Jiu Jitsu. In her competitive career Brooke has stacked up an impressive resume winning many very important titles throughout the colored belts, as well as leading many of the women in her program to conquer major titles such as the IBJJF Pan American Championships. Before her promotion to brown belt, Brooke was ranked number 1 in the world in the Adult Middleweight division at purple belt. Here are some of her accomplishments:

Nathan Molina
Nathan started martial arts over a decade ago and discovered a very keen aptitude towards kickboxing. After several years of honing his craft, he fell in love with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. When Nathan was awarded his blue belt in Bjj he decided that the Gi wasn’t for him, and had transitioned to a pure No-Gi game. He has since become one of the highest ranked heavyweight BJJ competitors in Australia, competing regularly in No-Gi styles of competition such as ADCC and superfights. Nathan prides himself on sharing his decade of knowledge with students. Nathan was awarded his Black belt in October of 2023 by Elvis Sinosic. Some of Nathan’s accomplishments:

Bianca Chasten
Bianca is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Devin Pirata and David Vava Littlewood (VavaPirata Team West Owner and Head instructor). While only technically training and competing in the sport of Jiu Jitsu for a little under 2 years, Bianca has been around the martial art for 15 years as she is the wife of head instructor Devin Pirata, so her experience goes well beyond her training. In her 2 years of competition in the sport, she has amassed an incredible resume, showing her true dedication and passion for the art. She is currently ranked #1 in the world at Master 1 in her weight class. Here are some of her recent accomplishments:
